The symptoms include generalized weakness and muscle wasting first affecting the muscles of the hips, the pelvic area, thighs and shoulders calves are also enlarged. After awhile DMD will start to progress to the voluntary muscles, and the heart and breathing muscles. Survival is rare beyond the early 30's. A Less severe variant becker Muscular Dystrophy. DMD is inherited within the x-linked recessive.
